The race for Speakership in 11th parliament is exposing candidates at a terrific speed. Supporters of Rebecca Kadaga on social media have now turned to spreading tribe laced messages in their campaign and the candidate is mum about it.
Having seen her competitor Jacob Oulanyah has won the confidence of the public and the NRM Central Executive Committee ( CEC) , Kadaga has been sponsoring propaganda against the Acholi and northerners generally.
Her propagandists tout tribalism as the reason Kadaga should be retained as Speaker saying because the Chief Justice Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny Dollo is an Acholi and a northerner , she should be retained against Oulanyah who is an Acholi.
For the record, one of the pillars ( ideology) of NRM is rejection of all forms of tribalism and sectarian tendencies.
Kadaga who has been in leadership in NRM for the last 30 years seems to have only been a passenger disinterested in the mechanics of the bus ( NRM ).
In 2016, Kadaga also attacked westerners claiming they have no business in Busoga after she received rumors that Amama Mbabazi had visited Kamuli. And on several occasions, Kadaga has expressed resentment against westerners.
Her camp has now turned guns against Acholi only because Oulanyah’s candidature appears to have brought her political journey to a halt.
Even when she knows that in the past, two of her own tribesmates have held influential government positions when northern had nothing, Kadaga sees herself as the only person deserving in Busoga.
His Lordship Justice Wako Wambuzi and Kadaga herself were head judiciary and Parliament at the same time but she saw no problem with it.
In addition to Wambuzi and herself , the Vice President was Specioza Naigaga Wandira Kazibwe, a musoga. All that was perfect for as long as it wasn’t Acholi.
In her term of Speaker , Benjamin Odoki from the East was Chief Justice and it was okay with Kadaga.
Today, facing a big challenge from Oulanyah, Kadaga’s camp is busy waving the tribal card against the principles of the party in whose top management, she sits.
This website understands that CEC is determined to clip Kadaga’s wings no matter what she does.
Her sponsored propaganda which contradicts the pillars of NRM, alienates her farther from the CEC which is the custodian of party principles.
Hating Acholi because two of their sons have merited top positions, exposes what Kadaga is in blood. She previously accused Acholi of not voting President Museveni, therefore; undeserving of big position. This year Acholi unlike Busoga, voted President Museveni and NRM. Kadaga ensured President Museveni lost even in her own constituency.
