MANIFESTO WEEK: Mutuuzo: YLP Has Financed 21K Projects Worth Shs167.579Bn Benefiting 250K Youth

Peace Mutuuzo, the minister of state for Gender, Labour and Social Development, has revealed that the Youth Livelihood Propgram (YLP), has financed 21,076 projects worth Shs167.579Bn benefiting 250,006 youth of which 45% are female.

The recovery of funds is Ushs41.980bn representing 53%. 45.466 youth have been supported under Youth Venture Capital Fund Programme.

She also revealed that 750 Persons with Disabilities were trained by the ministry in the 5 institutions in vocational skills to enhance their employment opportunities. –

The SAGE programme rolled out in all districts benefitting 304,155 older persons (121,662 Males & 182,493 Females).
