PROFILE: WHO IS MOSH

Ssendi Mosh alias Mr Mosh was born in 1980 to the late Hassan Wasswa in Seeta, Mukono district in the central region of Uganda. His father was a military pilot.

For his primary education, Mr Mosh went to Shimoni Primary school. He then joined St. Francis Secondary School for his ordinary level of education. Mosh also went to Old Kampala Secondary school for his Advanced Level of education.

During his A’ Level, Mosh Ssendi alias Mr Mosh lost his mother and he had earlier on lost his father at a tender age of 5years.

After the death of both parents, Mosh faced hardships in life and at this point, he had to choose either to drop out of school so that he could take care of his siblings or maintain his education up to University level.

He decided to drop out of school and look after his siblings helping them complete their primary and secondary education.

He has of late joined Cavendish University for his Bachelor in Journalism and Mass Communication.

Family

Mr Mosh is a father to one son though he doesn’t stay with the mother still takes his fatherly roles seriously. His son mostly stays with the mother in Entebbe.

He is, however, a ladies’ man that is attracted to brown ladies. Most of his Exs, if you flashback, they all hold the same traits but he doesn’t do a Public Display of Affection.

Music Career

Similar to many kids as Mr Mosh grew up, he wanted to become a pilot just like his father. Unfortunately, he was poor at science subjects so he decided to stick to the arts.

Mosh loved music and he, therefore, started writing and emceeing while in S.3 at a now-defunct St Francis Secondary School in Kampala.

While at Old Kampala SS, Mr Mosh approached a certain DJ who had come to play music during a renowned Kadanke party seeking for an opportunity to perform before students.

The DJ played him a soundtrack to one of the Jamaican songs where he staged a thrilling performance which was loved by the students making him a celebrity among his peers.

He then started organizing school shows around Kampala and other surrounding districts where he would host the events.

On a certain show, he met a friend who took him to Texas, a place on Kampala road where he met some of Uganda’s top artists who at the time were still upcoming musicians.

These musicians included Bebe CoolJose Chameleon and Bobi Wine.

The three artists were free-styling before their fans and so Mr Mosh got a chance to exercise the talent. His performance greatly welcomed by the crowd and after he started getting some recording gigs with different artists.

Mr Mosh recorded a song with the Blue3 which included songstresses like Lillian Mbabazi, Cinderella Sanyu and Jackie Chandiru. (Profile adapted from flashugnews)

Mosh’s decision to quit has been greeted with heartbreak to say the least, with many saying they will miss his good vibes on the airwaves.
