CJ Dollo To Bobi Wine: If You’ve Plan B, Do It But Don’t Bring Chaos In Court

1 Mins read

Uganda’s Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo has advised former Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine to trust the legal process or quit.

Justice Owiny Dollo sounded this warning to Bobi Wine on Friday during the hearing of Application for extension of time for the Petition to file more affidavits.

“We did not invite anyone to this court if you have Plan B, go ahead with it but do not bring underserved chaos in court,” Dollo said.

Early this week, Bobi Wine threatened to withdraw the petition challenging last month’s presidential election results if the Supreme Court continued rejecting his attempts to submit more evidence.

“I am warning the Supreme Court that if they continue blocking our evidence, we shall withdraw our case from this court and take the matter before the public court,” Bobi Wine said on Tuesday.

He also wants Dollo and three other justices on the panel to recuse themselves from hearing the case because of conflict of interest arguing that the CJ was President Yoweri Museveni’s lawyer in a previous election petition.

However, Dollo says no one can intimidate him and that Bobi Wine and team should trust that the court will be fari id delivering justice.

“Nobody should have the fear that we will favour any person in this petition, we took an oath to defend. f anybody thinks he can induce the Chief Justice with favours or intimidate him, be ready for a crash,” Dollo said.
