Ex-Deputy IGP Gen Sabiiti Appointed Luweero Industries Boss

Former Inspector General of Police, Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeyi, has been appointed General Manager Luwero Industries, a subsidiary of National Enterprise Corporation( NEC).

He replaces Brig Octavius Butuuro who has been appointed Deputy Commandant Senior Command and Staff College Kimaka.

The announcement was made on Friday by the army spokesperson Brig Flavia Byekwaso.

Sabiiti was Deputy IGP until December 2020 when he was replaced by Gen Paul Lokech in changes announced by President Yoweri Museveni.

Luwero Industries is involved in manufacture and engineering to support Uganda and beyond.

National Enterprise Corporation was established in 1989 by an Act of Parliament to serve as a commercial arm of the Ministry of Defence /Uganda Defence Forces and to produce goods and services that are beneficial to the Defence Forces and the general public. Its commercial ventures are undertaken through its Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures.
