Besigye Boosts Amuriat’s Campaigns In Kigezi Region

1 Mins read

The former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) president, Dr Kizza Besigye has played a great role to boost the campaigns for the party flag bearer, Patrick Oboi Amuriat in Kigezi region.

The source indicates that Besigye involvement in the campaigns especially in this region is to save the party flag bearers and to rubbish the claims by some Independents that the latter endorsed them.

Addressing his second rally in Ntungamo district, Besigye said that the party fronted Amuriat to handle plan A that has to do with elections and he will handle the Plan B that has to do with mindset change.

He said that a lot of money is being released during these elections and if anyone gives them money, they should eat it but when it comes to election date, they should vote for the candidate with the key symbol.

Besigye blamed the current government for destroying education and elevating youth unemployment saying that this will only change if they vote out the current government.

Amuriat told his supporters that his combination with Besigye has given the government and President Museveni sleepless nights.

“All the confrontations and challenges we are facing with the security wherever I go; it’s because the government fears my combination with Besigye. We shall not relax until the people of Uganda are liberated,” he said.

He told the locals not to fall for the lies of the current government that has been making promises for over 30 years without fulfilling them.

Amuriat promised to improve the healthcare and road networks in the region, if given the mandate come 2021.

“Today the road network in the region is alarming, if somebody happen to be critically sick, he or she will die along the way before reaching the hospital because of bad roads,” he said.
