Singer Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has been in northern Uganda mobilising masses for President Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni as the country readies itself for next year’s general poll.

Sources in the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) establishment say Bebe who has been largely silent in the past four months, has been working behind the curtains, strategizing on how to counter the Bobi Wine wave unleashed by the rise of the Kyadondo East lawmaker, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, who is now challenging Museveni for the country’s top seat. And it appears to be working.

“Many people were actually starting to question his loyalty because of the supposed silence but Bebe has been scratching his head hard to see that he puts a stop to Bobi Wine’s so called wave,” a party insider told us yesterday.

And true to this, Bebe Cool has spent the week in northern Uganda, combing and mobilising the area for Museveni.

His processions have attracted youths who have been seen joyfully accompanying him as they pledge their support for Museveni, something analysts believe could be key in switching the so called youth tide in favour of Museveni.

“Northern Uganda has been painted yellow thanks to Bebe Cool. It is a good strategy by the establishment to work with Bebe who is capable of drawing many to Museveni because of his love for the president,” sources say.

Bebe Cool’s loyalty to President Museveni is undoubted. He is probably the most loyal cadre in the entertainment industry. Seas of humanity, mainly youths have been seen accompanying his convoy in the north.

If the numbers Big Size as Bebe Cool is fondly known are something to go by, the belief that Bobi Wine is aa candidate for the youth could fall flatly.

Bobi, helped by his youthful fans have been banking on their ability to push their agenda online, however, Bebe Cool it appears is putting a stop to that.

President Museveni has been camped in the north, meeting NRM party bosses, mobilising for the 2021 poll. In support, Big Size has mobilised a big number of people to give the president much needed back up on social media that could have gone the Bobi Wine way had it not been for the Gagamel boss.

Under the #SilentMajority hashtag, social media platforms have been buzzing with Museveni and Bebe Cool’s activity in the north as many youth rally show undying love for the president.

Many believe if it weren’t for Bebe, Museveni’s activities in the north would have been largely silent since Bobi Wine was also combing the area for votes.

“Bebe has made sure the party matches Bobi toe-to-toe both on social media and on the ground. It was a masterstroke for the party to deploy him in the area,” a party enthusiast told us.

Encouraged by what they have seen, we are told that Bebe is set to accompany the president in every region of the country he hits to galvanize support for another term in office.
