We Can’t Remove Museveni If We Are Divided — Mao

1 Mins read

The Democratic Party (DP) presidential candidate, Nobert Mao has said that as campaigns take course ahead of the 2021 polls, Ugandans should not be divided on the basis of political affiliation.

Mao made the promise as he set off for Kasese where he will be launching his presidential campaigns today.

He noted that this is the time, each and every one should come and show Unity ahead of the general polls.

He added that it won’t be easy to dislodge president Museveni if Ugandans are divided at this crucial time.

Mao said he will be focusing on reconciliation and nation building, the reason he has chosen to start with Kasese, given the 2016 attack on the Obusinga Bwa Rwenzururu kingdom.

He said Kasese is the orphan district of Uganda being treated like step children therefore as DP, they are going to chase away flies from the wounds of people of Kasese.

According to Mao, the incident that took place in Kasese would have been avoided through dialogue other than shedding blood which ended up causing divisionism among the population.

Meanwhile, Mbarara based graphics designer won Mao’s presidential campaign poster contest, walking away with Shs1million.

Bruce Nuwagaba joined the contest after Mao’s Campaign Committee called upon the public to help them design the official poster for their 2021 Presidential flag bearer.

Nuwagaba, a graphics designer from Mbarara emerged winner of the contest.

The selection process of the poster was based on three things which included creativity, presentation and clarity.
