1 Mins read

The first Son, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned presidential candidate, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine against intimidating the security forces.

His statements come shortly after the arrest of Bobi Wine who was on his way to the party headquarters where he was expected to launch his campaign manifesto.

Bobi Wine is among candidates who repeatedly threatened to violate EC guidelines and sounded a warning to security for brutalizing the opposition.

However, Gen Muhoozi warned that the security is stronger than him hence he should not dare to provoke their patience.

“I told you my young brother, that you can never intimidate us. We are much stronger than you can ever imagine to be,” he noted in a tweet.

“If you want to fight, we will simply defeat you. We want peace! But if you attempt to fight us then Bring it on,” he added.

Bobi Wine was violently arrested in Kampala moments after addressing journalists following his nomination on Tuesday to challenge President Museveni in the coming general election.

Speaking shortly after being nominated yesterday president Museveni warned that whoever tries to disrupt the nomination exercise would be dealt with accordingly.

“I hear there are people who want to destabilise peace. I would like to encourage everybody to maintain peace. If you want to bring chaos here, you will regret it. We don’t play,” said Museveni.

“No one is better than us when it comes to fighting and fighting weapons. NRM fought to bring peace and so we don’t play.”
