Police has confirmed the arrest of Gerald Kabazzi on suspicion that he killed his pregnant woman in Kyaliwajja, Wakiso district on Monday.
Kabazzi was arrested in Kamwokya, Kampala.
He is said to have knowledge about the murder of Norah Gabeya.
“Police has at last in custody a one Kabazzi Gerald commonly known as My Phone after viral video in which he was asking for his phone from some of our police officers surfaced online” the Kampala metropolitan police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed on Tuesday.
He said the suspect was apprehended after a group of people were found beating him up in a home of a young woman reportedly to be his girlfriend.
He said the people who rescued him from the hands of the angry mobs immediately handed him to the police and he was later transferred to Kira division where is currently detained.
“We are investigating the allegations of murder of a one Norah Gabeya who was also his girlfriend,” said Owoyesigyire
