VP Ssekandi Mourns Death Of Gen Salim Saleh’s Wife

Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has visited, the National Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation General Caleb Akandwanaho at his Gulu home to commiserate with him together with the family following the death of his wife Harriet Aber.

The Vice President said that, the late Aber was not only a mother but a chief mobiliser for the NRM and an agent of peace and prosperity in Northern Uganda adding that, wives of freedom fighters go through immense trials in their lives given uncertainties and anxiety as their husbands go through.

He hailed Gen. Akandwanaho for loving his wife and expressed optimism that the eleven years she shared with her triplets, Stanley Nahurira, Tyra Aruho, Christianne Nyikirize, will remain pivotal in in their lives.

Gen. Akandwanaho described his late wife as developmental who always gave counsel to him and which impacted on him while undertaking his national obligations.

Gen Saleh said he has lost an intelligent and reliable partner, a mother of his children and an advocate for land rights.

Late Aber, a lawyer, succumbed to intestinal ulcers according to a joint autopsy report conducted by the Uganda People’s Defense Forces (UPDF) and Uganda Police pathologists.
