Celebrated comedian, radio presenter and events emcee, Musiimenta Ronnie famously known by his stage name, Ronnie McVex has quit NBS TV’s Next radio.
He announced his departure today morning via his Twitter page.
“The time I was honoured with an invited to be apart of @nxtradioug on air Talent was so uplifting. It’s been a wonderful journey filed with pressure, learning and celebrations. I am forever grateful to the entire team for the support,” tweeted Ronnie before adding that;
“Sitting in that awesome studio 5 days every week, playing the biggest of hits on #NxtTransit with awesome people @KaritasKarisim2 and @SAyokyayokya renewed my strength every day.”
“I have learnt a lot from the great guidance of our general manager and team leader @MarcusKwikiriza.
“The eco system @nextmediaug is something I never experienced. It’s an anchor of growth from individuals to entities.
“I have made friends, enemies but above all, I have experienced growth.
Like any other company, several things happen, and if you have to make a choice, its got to be well thought about.
“And I know I will be judged for this but this is a decision I have given thought.
“As I bid farewell, I can only promise that I will hold and guard the virtues I have learnt at media plaza.
“This week will be my last day in air at Media Plaza.
“I am equally super excited to be part of a winning team, at a home that has given me chance to render my capabilities and nurture me.
“This I will officially announce tomorrow morning (Friday 28th August.)
“Even the best dancer quits the dance floor at some point.”
Ronnie has been hosting the next transit program on Next Radio alongside Smart Ayokyayokya and Anne-Marie Wandera.
