President Museveni has summoned the National Task Force on COVID-19 following an increase in COVID-19 cases in Kampala, Ug Mirror reports.
In the meeting that will be held today, they are expected to decide on the next steps to be taken to curb the viral spread of COVID-19.
Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa told parliament yesterday that there is laxity in Kampala in implementing the health guidelines.
“The situation is worse than when we started, we had not registered any death but now register every day,” said Nankabirwa before adding that;
“Tomorrow we shall come up with decisions that will give hope.”
She also said that they will discuss the fate of border districts that are still in lockdown and when to reopen places of worship.
It is worth noting that; the cumulative confirmed cases of Ugandans is 2,426.
The total COVID-19 deaths is 25 and 1,267 recoveries
