This afternoon, a delegation from the European Union is meeting FDC party leaders at the party head quarters in Najjanankumbi.
According the secretary to the FDC electoral commission Augustine Ojobile, the delegation will be having a meeting with the party leaders after which they will meet with journalists to share the outcome of the meeting.
Last week, a delegation from the European Union also visited Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform at their head quarters in Kamwokya.
After the visit, many believed that the European Union was showing confidence in the party’s ability to lead in the upcoming General elections.
NUP spokesperson last week assured journalists that the EU was just confirming that NUP was a fully registered and operational political party.
However, the visit to FDC headquarters now raises questions of why the EU has visited two of Uganda’s opposition parties.
Yesterday FDC’s Patrick Amuriat and Wasswa Biriggwa picked nomination forms to represent the party in the forthcoming elections.
