Former Uganda Revenue Authority Commissioner-General Doris Akol has joined an international law firm, Dentons Uganda office as a partner. Dentons is registered in Uganda as Kyagaba & Otatiina Advocates.

Akol was fired from URA early this year and was replaced by John Musinguzi Rujoki.

Although there is no official information yet, the information we gather is that she will be unveiled soon as a partner.

Dentons is one of the largest law firms in the world with 1,500 attached. It was the first international law firm in Africa with the establishment of Dentons Cairo in 1964. The firm has over 200 lawyers in 13 locations across Africa, including Uganda.

In it was started in 2019 by a team of five lawyers; David Mpanga, Dennis Otatiina, Isaac Kyagaba, John Musiime, and Pearl Nyakabwa.

The firm is a full-service law firm, which provides services across various sectors and practices including, Banking and Finance, Construction, Corporate, Energy, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Intellectual Property, Labor and Employment Law, Restructuring and Securitization and Tax.
