Sanyu FM presenters have gone on strike over salary cuts, Ug Mirror reports.
Our highly placed sources at Crane Chambers have revealed that the salaries of presenters were cut by half due to the biting COVID-19 crisis.
The salary cuts didn’t go down well with some of the presenters who chose and vowed not to return to work unless their salaries are reinstated.
It is worth noting that since Saturday last, the 88.2 FM interrupted normal programming and they have playing music nonstop.
The presenters leading the strike include, FatBoy, Stephan, DJ Xzyl, Jo and many more.
Sanyu FM is owned by Sudhir Rupareria and a broadcast radio station in Kampala, Uganda, providing World Adult Contemporary Pop and Urban music.
