Police yesterday arrested two notorious fraudsters in Kampala Metropolitan Policing area.
The fraudsters were arrested in Nsambya during a joint operation carried out by Police 999 unit and detectives that laid a strategic trap at Nsambya opposite the hospital.
Its alleged that on 6/5//2020 at around 0900 hours, Police 999 unit received information about a hardcore conman that have been terrorising the people of Kampala and the group was being investigated by Kampala Metropolitan Police/ South for fraud.
According to available information the thugs had earlier defrauded one Leo Nampongo Shs75 million under unclear circumstances.
A trap was laid and two suspects were arrested namely Twinamatsiko Samuel aged 25 and Akatunda Albert 40 years, all resident of Nsambya and Land brokers.
They are being detained at Katwe Police Station on charges of forgery and obtaining money by false pretences.
The detectives are working on their files and police appeals to anybody who has ever been defrauded by this group to report to the nearest Police Station or to come to Katwe Police Station.
