Just a week ago, social media was awash with UACE results of the singer Joseph Mayanja commonly known as Jose Chameleone and commentators accusing him of not sitting the exams.
Many people came out doubting the results of the singer which were displayed on social media platforms accusing him of not sitting the exams basing on his busy schedule.
Last year, Chameleone went back to sit for his Uganda Advance Certificate of Education in preparation for 2021 elections.
He managed to score 12 points.
It should also be noted that Chameleone came out clearly and expressed his interest in the Kampala Lord mayor seat come 2021 and one of the qualifications is S. 6 or its equivalent for one to contest.
However, many people were not contended with the results, but we managed to speak to some of his OGs and OBs of Katuuso community Secondary School where the singer sat his exams.
Nagayi Jovia, one of Chameleone’s OG noted that she sat with Chameleone together in the same examination room and she confirmed that the singer did his A level successfully.
She also praised the singer for the good heart among others.
The OBs and OGs refuted all the fake news that were making rounds on social media which indicate that Chameleone never sat for his exams.
“The truth is that Chameleone is a good guy and he sat his exams. He doesn’t discriminate people, he was a well behaved person and he could even buy for us lunch,” she said.
The head of the school who preferred anonymity said as teachers they don’t have that ability to forge results on behalf of Uganda National Examination Board.
“Chameleone sat for his exams and had his index number like other students, he sat his exams so a teacher doesn’t have any chance to forge any result on behalf of UNEB,” he said.
The head teacher insisted that the singer sat his exams and no one has moral authority to disputes the results apart from UNEB.
Jose Chameleone expressed his gratitude towards the school administration upon good reception and love showed to him during his studies.
“I would like to thank the administration of Katuuso secondary school for the good hospitality given to me and I also thank my OBs and OGs,” he said.
