Dr Jane Ruth Aceng, the minister of health has praised the leader of silent majority, and out spoken singer Moses Ssali commonly known as Bebe Cool for his role in spreading information on tuberculosis (TB) in Uganda.
A few months ago, Bebe Cool received a grant of close to 400,000 USD to fight TB in Uganda.
His organisation, the Amber Heart Foundation, is in support of activities aimed at finding missing TB patients within the districts of Kampala, Jinja and Mbarara.
Bebe Cool, met Dr Aceng and her technical staff on Tuesday at the Ministry of Health headquarters.
Dr Aceng urged Bebe Cool to focus his TB campaign on youth who normally attend his musical shows and concerts. She also said that his emphasis should be on male involvement in TB prevention.
Bebe cool said that this year will be committed to bringing down the high TB disease burden through awareness.
He also proposed that that the Electoral commission should ensure that every campaign poster or material carries a health message before and during the 2021 General elections.
