In an effort by the Uganda People’s Defense Forces to embark on a countrywide recruitment of over 4000 soldiers, there have been some hiccups in the process.
The exercise that is supposed to run from December 27, 2019 to January 5, 2020 has left one dead in the Elgon region and others wailing, and dropping out of the recruitment process.
The deceased, Ali Wakooli, collapsed and died after the 5KM run that recruits are supposed to undertake, early this morning.
By press time, the body of Ali had been rushed to the mortuary to ascertain what exactly killed him.
