AKAPAPULA: Here Are the Sure Wins As Premier League Resumes

1 Mins read

We’re yet to hear from Arsenal manager but ex-Gunners goalkeeper David Seaman is full of praise for the current boss.

“In Arteta I think we have a fantastic manager. We need to do more or less whatever he wants because we need to keep him,” Seaman told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“We need to let him develop that squad because he inherited that squad from Arsene [Wenger] and from [Unai] Emery so he needs to get his own squad. I think in him we have a great manager and the future looks good as long as the board back him.”

Leeds are another team I’ve seen a lot of in the Championship and I’m looking forward to seeing how they get on in the top flight. I love the way they play.

They are very Liverpool-like in terms of their pressing and their pace and I don’t see them struggling at all, even if this is an especially difficult opening game for them.

I like the look of Leeds’ new striker Rodrigo and keep an eye out for Pablo Hernandez in midfield, who you might remember from his time with Swansea in the Premier League a few years back.

He is 35 now and doesn’t start many games, but what a player he is when he comes off the bench – he has got fantastic vision and sees things no-one else in that team sees.

Jurgen Klopp reviewing the unprecedented last few months since the coronavirus pandemic in March: “The break we had was not a break because it was very intense mentally then we played a lot of games in a short period then we have a short break and then came back. So we are now pretty much in our normal rhythm.

“Winning the league is the best problem you can have. Everybody wants to become champions. We will face incredibly strong teams so it’s all about us, how can we put these intense performances on the pitch again and again and again?”
