All preparations to host the 64th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference scheduled for 22 to 29 of this month at Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort Hotel have been finalized by Parliament.

Parliament has already procured more than 100 brand new vehicles that will be used in the transportation of the over 54 speakers of different parliaments expected to attend the conference.

The type of vehicles that have been procured include 50 Land Cruisers that will be used by the VIP’s, 50 Coaster Vans and 50 pickups that will be used by the security officers.

The Director of Communications and Public Affairs at Parliament, Chris Obore said that all the due processes were followed to procure these vehicles.

This is the second time Uganda will be hosting the commonwealth Parliamentary conference the first being in 1967.
