Museveni Off To Yokohama For TICAD Summit

President Yoweri Museveni has left for the Japanese City of Yokohama where he will join other African Heads of State and Government for a 3-day 7th Edition of the Tokyo International Conference for African Development  (TICAD) Summit.

The President was seen off at Entebbe International Airport earlier today by Presidency Minister, Hon. Esther Mbayo, Head of Public Service, Mr. John Mitala, Commander of Air Force, Lt. Gen. Charles Lwanga Lutaaya, Assistant Inspector General of Police, Assan Kasingye and the Commissioner General of Prisons, Dr. Johnson Byabashaija. 

TICAD is a summit level International Conference that focuses on the socio-economic  development of Africa launched by Japan in 1993.

The 6th TICAD Summit took place in Nairobi, Kenya in 2016
