Justine Nameere in Hot Soup Over Shs9m Debt

1 Mins read

For close to close to six years now, former NTV Life Stories presenter Justine Nameere has been playing hide and seek with the management of a filming crew called ‘Trailed Bros Limited’, after failing to pay close to Shs9,300,000.

Snoops reveal that early this week, neighbours of the former TV star in Najeera witnessed free drama when a team of court bailiffs headed by Cranimer Mutalya, sealed off Nameere’s residence with a court order to execute an arrest warrant against Nameere after her failure to pay the debt, which was decreed by court in civil suit number 2346 of 2018.

The court bailiffs had been commanded to arrest Nameere unless she paid the long-standing debt plus the costs of executing the process.

However, the former TV star managed to lock herself in the house and allegedly got in touch with her well connect-ed father, who sent a counter-force that impeded the bailiffs from executing their order and rescued Nameere from the house, before whisking her to unknown destination.

Meanwhile we have learnt that the bailiffs have up to 15th April, 2019 to execute the warrant in case Nameere has not cleared the debt by then.

The case was first filed at the Chief Magistrates Court Of Mengo before Magistrate Grade I Irene Nambatya but was later transferred to Kampala High Court civil division.

It is said that the case emerged after Nameere failed to pay for the services rendered by Trailed Bros Limited, which is owned by James Opio Eupeul.

The former TV star claimed that the Trailed Bros Limited produced work which was substandard and the only solution was to terminate the contract.

Nameere hired the services of Trailed Bros Limited to film and produce her new TV show titled ‘Life and People.’

Upon failing to pay the money, the company, through their lawyers Ochieng and Harimwomugasho Company Advocates, sued Nameere for breach of contract and won the case, but she has since refused to Pay.
