Following the statement that was made by Minister of Youth and Children Affairs, Hon Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi of ordering Patrick Ssenyonjo alias Fresh Kid away from stage performances and singing, many people have come out in support of the young star stating that government should be in support of talent in Uganda.
Yesterday, Minister Kiyingi met Fresh kid and okayed his music career on condition that he stays in school.
City socialite and Government critic Frank Gashumba who also doubles as the Chief Executive Officer Sisimuka Uganda while speaking to journalists on Tuesday, stated that Fresh Kid should be Nantaba’s Speech writer because he can answer questions, he is asked better than that minister.
“This child should be over 7 years, and he needs to be checked otherwise I don’t think that this boy is only 7 years because is very intelligent, I have seen some of his interviews on the social media, the boy is extremely intelligent,” said Gashumba.
Gashumba added that if at all Fresh Kid is 7 years, then Ugandans should get ready for him and support his talent.
He said that according to the prodigy talent fresh Kid possesses, he should be admitted at Makerere university in the first year.
“The is government cannot help anyone, so Ugandans should identify talents of their children and help them.”
“If you identify football, swimming or singing talents in your child, please help her or him, don’t think someone will help you nurture the talent of your kid,” he added
Gashumba further added that he is going to contact the Vice Chancellors of Makerere, Uganda Christian university and Kyambogo so that Fresh Kid can start from there because he is so intelligent.
