Following the recent statement by minister of Youth and Children Affairs, Hon Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi on the move to stop Patrick Ssenyonjo well known as Fresh Kid from singing and performing in public places which include bars, more people are reacting to this and Tamale Mirundi has also joined the race.
Former Presidential Press Secretary Joseph Tamale Mirundi has on Tuesday 2nd April 2019 scoffed at Members of Parliament who want Fresh Kid to continue singing yet he does not possess any singing talent.
Mirundi made a statement during his weekly show on NBS television and according to him, Fresh Kid does not have a talent of singing because he cannot compose a song therefore, he should go back to school.
“God does not change your stupid brain when you go to parliament, Fresh Kid is not talented MPs must understand that,” said Tamale.
He urged all the members of parliament to first study the music industry before they suggest that Fresh Kid should continue with his music carrier because he cannot compose even a single song.
“I told you fresh Kid is still young; those MPs you are talking about don’t have children who can compose a song, have you ever seen a child at such a tender age composing a song?” he asked.
He added that people just want to spoil Fresh Kid instead of protecting him.
“Actually, how can a Member of Parliament support the exploitation of a kid and yet the songs he sings are spreading hatred among Ugandans? “wondered Mirundi.
“These Members of Parliament are wasting time in parliament, they don’t have brains, maybe these MPs they even don’t know the songs this skid is singing, the kid is too young to sing and they are imparting ignorance and hatred into this child,” he added
Tamale also added that Members of Parliament do not have the moral authority to judge Uganda ambassador to Burundi Maj Gen Matayo Kyaligonza for assaulting a female traffic officer, Esther Namaganda
He stated that Members of Parliament went to Kyankwanzi for a retreat, danced and fell down got drunk and that’s why they are supporting Fresh Kid.
He advised members of parliament not misuse their power if they want to be respected and they should first sit down and analyse issues.
“if Kyaligonza made a mistake it was a mistake, he is not the first person to make mistakes and even he is more understanding than some of you,” Mirundi stated.
