Hon Allan Ssewanyana spent a night at Nagalama Police Station

Here is what he said upon his release

Following my inhuman arrest on Monday while demanding for the fixation of the sewerage system at Kiruddu Hospital and consequently, detention at Naggalama Police Station, I have finally been released.

I have been charged with Unlawful Society, which is categorically a tramped up and malicious charge, aimed at silencing me from demanding for accountability of the released billions of tax payer’s money to fix the problem.

I am a member of Parliament who has all the right to meet and interact with my constituents at any time, to discuss issues that concern them.

Like I earlier indicated, I lobbed for Shs3.5 billion from the Health and finance committees of Parliament, which was released to fix the sewerage system of the hospital which has not only become a problem to the neighbourhood, but also patients and workers therein. The facility is damn smelling.

I vow and I repeat, never to relent or give up on having the sewerage system of that hospital fixed with immediate effect and if our money meant to solve the problem was ‘eaten’ by those greedy and selfish officials, it is time for them to vomit it.

Meanwhile, thanks colleagues from all political divides and above all, the people of Makindye West, who have restlessly demand for my release.

STRUGGLE CONTINUES
