President Yoweri Museveni has urged leaders at all levels to equip themselves with skills that will help them go a long way in diagnosing correctly society’s challenges.
“It is crucial that you leaders know what you are doing because if you don’t know, you will bring a case to yourselves. Leadership is not like a cold that you catch leadership skills. You have to prepare yourself,” he said.
The President made the remarks yesterday in a meeting with LC5 Chairpersons, District Speakers and Sub-County representatives from all over the country at State House, Entebbe.
The district leaders who had undergone a one-week training at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi District were taken through leadership transformation, Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) Programme and Local Government financing, among others.
Mr. Museveni informed the meeting about the two main lines through which society changes namely education and wealth creation adding that these two lines eventually lead to job creation for the population.
