PHOTOS: Miss Curvy Contest Launched In Uganda

Miss Curvy Uganda Franchise has announced its first edition.

The announcement was made on today Tuesday 5th February at a press launch which was held at Mestil Hotel in Nsambya, Kampala.

During the launch of the Miss Curvy Uganda, they also officially announced a long-term business partnership between Uganda Tourism Board.

The two parties have signed a long-term joint venture agreement and plan to grow Miss Curvy Uganda into a world-class beauty pageant.

Addressing the press, the Patron Miss Curvy Uganda, Ann Mungoma calls all the stakeholders in the tourism industry to join the race with Miss Curvy Uganda and be part of it as they transform Uganda through tourism under their theme “Tulambule”

The event has been created to banish the “Beauty is Size zero” idea and attract healthy ladies who are proud of the way they look and also to celebrate natural curves which come along with living healthy.

Miss Curvy will promote a healthy attitude to body image.

She also added saying that the event is organized to recognize and acknowledge the big, Bold and beautiful plus size of Ugandan ladies.

The pageant aims at enhancing the visibility and appreciation of curvaceous ladies as they walk the runway.

The event will bring out the endowment of the real African Woman and it will take place in June in Kampala.
