1 Mins read

Minister of State for Finance, David Bahati has cautioned the youth against making mistakes through political atmosphere and influence that have swallowed most of them and urged them not be deceived by such groups.

He added that youth should refrain from joining and participating in People Power pressure movement led by Legislator for Kyadondo East Hon Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine

These comments were made during the celebration of 33 National Resistance Movement in Kabale district on 26th January 2019.

“The youths have become a key interest group for politicians, trying to win over their hearts and votes, ” he stated

“People Power is a minority in Kabale and if you choose to join them, you will be choosing a short-term strategy,” he stressed

He urged youth not to be diverted by self-seeking individuals

He told youth that the NRM has created a number of avenues for them to prosper including income generating projects like Operation Wealth Creation among others

He further added that all efforts will be consolidated to convince president Museveni to stand in 2021 as the NRM sole candidate.

He added that Ugandans should utilize the opportunity they have to allow the God given person, president Museveni to rule this country
