FDC Recruits 145650 Members After Muntu Exit

Forum for Democratic Change has carried out membership audit that was declared in a two-day special National Council sitting at the party headquarters Najjanakumbi Kampala.

According to the FDC National chairperson,Wasswa Biriggwa, the decision was reached after a membership audit conducted after Gen Mugisha Muntu exit from the party.

The party General secretary Nathan Nandala Mafabi updated the state of the party membership yesterday at party headquarters in Najjanakumbi.

He said that the party is doing well and has made progress as far as numbers and new recruitment is concerned.

“We have recruited 145,650 members in the last one year out standing among them include Hon Vincent Kyamadidi former member of parliament for Rwampera, Mr. Guma Betukira Gumisiriza Former RDC, Verginia plan Mugyenyi an educationist and businesswoman among others,” said Mafabi.

He noted that the party has also performed well in recent elections citing the example of Kaliro that was swept by FDC in the last election for new administrative unit.

He said this is a thing that happened for the first time since inception and under the able the able leadership of Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat.
