Musician Diamond Platnumz has revealed that he will tie the knot with his Kenyan lover, Tanasha Oketch, on February 14, 2019, exactly one year since the artiste was ditched by his Ugandan girlfriend, Zari Hassan.
Speaking to Wasafi TV recently, the award-winning crooner said he needs a wife to help him manage his many business projects.
“I have set February 14, 2019 as my wedding date. The ceremony will last four days. Valentine’s Day will fall on a Thursday; so, the wedding ceremony will take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. That is my preliminary arrangement. If anything would come up, forcing me to change the dates, I will communicate that in good time,” said Diamond Platnumz.
“I really want to settle down. I have had enough fun. Honestly, I have done a lot!” added the “Sikomi” star.
“I have invested in so many business ventures. I own TV and radio stations; I also have a vibrant digital platform; I also own a groundnuts business – Diamond karanga, and a record label WCB. I need a woman who will help me run the businesses. I won’t be able to manage the projects on my own. I need a wife to offer advice, and help me steer the businesses to success so that we can secure our future,” said Diamond Platnumz, adding: “I am having that conversation with Tanasha.”
Last week, Diamond Platnumz threw shade at his ex-lover Zari Hassan, saying his current girlfriend, Tanasha Oketch, has a better body shape, facial features and character than the Ugandan businesswoman.
Speaking to Tanzania’s Ijumaa newspaper, the “Kwangwaru” star said none of the women he dated in the past – including Ms Hassan – wanted to settle down with him, and that it is only Tanasha Oketch, who has accepted to be his wife.
“Tanasha Oketch is the only woman who has shown me that she takes seriously my desire to have a wife. And, as a result of her commitment, I hereby say – officially – that she is the one I will marry,” Diamond told Ijumaa newspaper.
“Tanasha Oketch has all the qualities that I am looking for in a wife. However, you know most of us [men] tend to look at aesthetical features such as facial attractiveness, body shape and other bodily qualities. After being sure of those, it is when we embark on evaluating the woman’s character. I would like to say that I have keenly subjected Ms Oketch to all those parameters, and I am convinced beyond doubt that she is well-bred and is very beautiful,” said Diamond Platnumz.
The musician further said that Tanasha Oketch, a radio presenter at NRG, introduced him to her family when he visited Kenya on December 1.
Asked on why he settled on Ms Oketch; and not any other woman, Diamond said: “no woman in his life – present or in the past – matches the prettiness, body physique and character of Tanasha”.
Tanasha Oketch, 22, is a lady of Kenyan descent who has Italian roots.
She is the ex-girlfriend of Kenyan actor Nick Mutuma. The former couple went separate ways early 2017, with Ms Oketch citing “incompatibility” as reason for their break up.
The two first knew each other on social media before giving relationship a try.
