Uganda To Mourn Victims of Lave Victoria Boat Accident Tomorrow

Ministry of Public Service has declared Friday 30th, November,2018 a national mourning day throughout the country to remember the lives of innocent Ugandans who died in Lake Victoria boat cruise accident.

It should be noted that on Saturday 25th, November, 2018 was labelled Black Saturday to many people across the country because the boat which was occupied by over 120 people capsized in Lake Victoria.

Over 30 people were reported dead, 26 rescued alive including Buganda Prince David Wassaja and Singer Irene Numubiru and dozens are still missing.

Police and UPDF Marine have spent so far 5 days searching and retrieving bodies from water.

The boat wreckage was pulled out of yesterday with combined effort of Uganda Police Force and UPDF Marine teams.
