24 Kampala Pick Pocketers Arrested

Police has arrested 24 people who are suspected of snatching bags and phone downtown Kampala.

This comes after a public outcry in regards to phone and bag snatching along Nakivuubo Channel, Dewinton Road, Plaza Mall among other places in Kampala.

Police carried out a criminal sweep operation as one of the strategies to maintain a business-friendly city.

The operational success was as a result of the support by public members in form of intelligence led information.

This exercise is part of the Dumisha Usalaama operation aimed at keeping Kampala City and its surroundings safe and free from criminality.
