Inspector General of Police, Martins Okoth Ochola has finally appointed a new officer to head the Police’s ICT department.
The slot became vacant when the then ICT boss Amos Ngabirano fled the country into exile.
“The Inspector General of Police has today April 17, 2018 appointed and transferred the following gazetted Police Officers. These transfers and appointments take immediate effect.
They include: CP Baryamwisaki Felix appointed AG. Director ICT, CP Ssewanyana Yusuf appointed AG. Deputy Director ICT, ACP Mujabwami Ezra appointed AG. CP ICT Maintenance, SSP Wakwale Ahmed is transferred from KMP to ICT, Police Headquarters as Commissioner in charge Communications. ASP Nabongo Abdallah is appointed the In-charge ICT KMP We congratulate all officers that have been assigned new duties and wish them the best of luck in their new assignments,” reads a statement signed by Police spokesperson SSP Emilian Kayima.
