State Operatives Want Me Dead — Archbishop Lwanga

1 Mins read

The Archbishop of Kampala Archdiocese, Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga has revealed that ever since he made comments on the priests being recruited by government as spies, there have been threats to make him meet his creator.

While opening the Interreligious Council of Uganda (IRCU) in Entebbe on yesterday, Archbishop Lwanga said that the operatives called him and said he will be the next Janan Luwum.

“The caller told me that some of your religious leaders of all faiths, both Christians and Muslims, are working for government and have been recruited. I told him I was not aware. Then he told me, ‘Be careful, you might be the next Janan Luwum’. And I told him if God is calling me that way, fine.”

This website understands that over the Easter weekend, archbishop Lwanga told believers that he got information that there are priests that are being used by government to spy on events in the church.

He further alleged that operatives in CMI, ISO, ESO and other security organisations trade in lies and this is not good for national security.
