1 Mins read

Lands minister and Bukono County MP, Princess Persis Namuganza is being investigated by the IGG due to lack of minimum academic papers to serve as a Member of Parliament.

Inspector General of Government (IGG), Irene Mulyagonja revealed that the investigation started when petition was filed by concerned people from Busoga Sub-region.

“We are going to carry out preliminary investigations into the complaint of her lacking academic papers,” said the IGG.

In the petition dated March 7, 2018, the concerned people reveal that Namuganza failed all the four subjects at Primary Level.

“We do hereby submit in our complaint as reiterated below; SST-9, Science-9, Maths-9 and English-9, which makes her not to be qualified to proceed to another level of education,” reads the petition in parts.

This comes after a political verbal war between Namuganza and Speaker Kadaga is hitting the Busoga Sub region.

Namuganza is accused of insulting Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and the Kyabazinga of Busoga Kingdom, Mr William Gabula Nadiope IV.

Namuganza was recently fired from the Busoga parliamentary caucus over the same remarks.
