Police Drops Charges against Kirumira

Uganda Police has dropped two of the four charges slapped against Buyende DPC, ASP Kirumira Muhammad.

Police prosecutor, Katherine Kusemererwa, dropped charges on the account that there was no sufficient evidence to pin Kirumira over two counts of irregular conduct.

Kirumira now remains charged with neglect of duty contrary to Section 44(1) Code 19, corruption practices contrary to Section 44(1) Code 23(a) and irregular conduct contrary to Section 44(1) Code 12 of the Police Act.

Ever since his arrest by the Police Flying Squad unit, Kirumira has been ‘enjoying’ the highly guarded and notorious torture centre, Nalufenya.

This website understands that before attempting to resign from police, Kirumira revealed that there are some senior police officers who deal with criminals to terrorize Kampala Citizens.
