US based Ugandan singer Karim Saava Nsubuga has taken over the prime spot of being the most sought after Ugandan Artistes to headline at pro human rights activities in the United States.
Saava who has been living in the states for quite a while,has been known for his agitating for human rights causes back in Uganda through his music.
Some of the most notable Songs that he has released include,’Akalulu’ that was used as a political anthem by some opposition leaders like Dr.Kizza Besigye,Amama Mababazi among others that the powers that be thought was his own ploy to exhibit defiance.
With the release of his anti-terrorism song ‘Say no to Terrorism’
Which has been endorsed by the powerful inspector General of Police kale Kayihura with whom they later fell out due to the laters change of heart, then became a persona non grata at the forces events that he used to grace.
Since his arrival on the states Karim Saava has been touring Ugandan communities preaching the same free rights message and was vital in the anti scrapping of the article 102b that was eventually amended to pave way for the current president to vie for office at the next election.
Saava caused a stir with his performance at the Uganda independence celebrations that where held at the Warid Plaza in Los Angeles.
Since then he has become the most sought after artiste in the Ugandan community activities in the diaspora.
He is also rummored to be preparing to officially join politics in the near feature in a bid to join other artistes like Hons.Robert
Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine and Judith Babirye.
