Democratic Party President Nobert Mao has been arrested by police as tried to lead a procession to Parliament.
Earlier, Police surrounded the DP offices at City house in Kampala shortly after Mao had declared a walk to parliament in an effort to show that they don’t support the amendment of article 102 (b) of the constitution.
No sooner had he stepped out of office than the police arrested him and driven off at a break neck speed to a yet to be known location.

He was arrested with other DP members and some students from Makerere University.
Earlier Mao had said that the Togikwatako Red Week was officially launched and people should put on red.
“This Red Week like the entire Togikwatako campaign is not an event which will expire when the final vote is taken by MPs. Rather Togikwatako is a process, said Mao before adding that; “Its biggest achievement is that it has broken the political molds in which we have hitherto been confined and unleashed a new unity of purpose.

“The parliamentary vote will only be a new milestone for a new momentum to ensure that those who have betrayed the will of the people pay a political price for their treachery. That is the essence of K’OGIKWATAKO- a warning.”
