People of Kakunyu Trading Centre in Katooma, Kagongo Division, lbanda Municipality were shocked after they recovered three human toes at an abattoir.
According to the residents, two men quarrelled over a woman, who works in a bar at the trading centre.
After the quarrel, one of the rivalling men rushed home and returned with a machete, but found his adversary had already left the place.
Eyewitnesses said the man then, by mistake, attacked a one Mr Denis Twine.
Mr Twine’s brother allegedly retaliated and grabbed the machete from the attacker and cut off his three toes, which he later dumped at an abattoir.
