The number one supporter of Ugandan football, MTN Uganda has launched a nationwide campaign called “Gaga Your Way to Morocco”, an exciting initiative that gives customers a direct opportunity to win an all expenses paid trip to Morocco to support the Uganda Cranes. The campaign is built around MTN’s popular Gaga data bundles and reinforces the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting Ugandan football at every level. The launch of the campaign marks a significant moment for millions of football fans across Uganda

The Chief Marketing Officer MTN Uganda, Sylvia Elsheikh said that the campaign reflects MTN Uganda’s belief in giving customers experiences that go beyond everyday connectivity. She noted that Gaga data bundles already play an important role in the lives of young Ugandans who stream content, study online, game, work and stay connected. The incentive of a chance to support the Uganda Cranes in Morocco gives the product even more energy. “I thank our customers for their continued loyalty and encourage them to load any Gaga bundle and stand a chance to be part of an exciting opportunity to travel and show our ‘faaya’ support for our beloved Uganda Cranes”, she added.

FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson thanked MTN Uganda for its continued and unwavering support for the Uganda Cranes and the development of Ugandan football. He acknowledged MTN’s steadfast commitment to the national team over the years, noting that the partnership has played an important role in strengthening the game and helping players and fans stay connected to the team’s progress. He welcomed the “Gaga Your Way to Morocco” campaign as a timely and inspiring initiative that brings fans closer to the team at a very historic moment.

Participation in the campaign is simple and open to all MTN customers across the country. A customer simply dials *100*0# or use the MyMTN app to activate any Gaga bundle to stand a chance of winning. Every purchase of any Gaga data bundle including Gaga Time, Gaga4dayzz and Gaga Weekend, automatically enters the customer into the draw to win. It’s that simple. The more a customer activates Gaga, the greater their chances of winning. Winners can come from any part of Uganda. The draws will be broadcast live every Sunday at 06:55pm on NBS TV, Bukedde TV, FUFA TV and NTV. Winners will only be contacted by 0312120000. The public is cautioned to be aware of conmen.

20 lucky MTN customers will each win a fully paid trip to Morocco to watch the Uganda Cranes live in action. The prize will include return flights, accommodation, match day tickets, and facilitation to enjoy a smooth and memorable experience. Winners will also receive MTN branded Uganda Cranes jerseys to wear as they cheer on our beloved national team.

To add to the excitement, MTN is giving more Ugandans the opportunity of travelling to Morocco. There will also be a high school alumni Futsal challenge, bringing together various teams to compete in a fun 8 aside football challenge. The winning team will get to fly and support the Uganda Cranes. The participating teams include;

  1. Kosa League (Kibuli Secondary School)
