Over the weekend, Kampala was buzzing with excitement as more than 30 contestants were officially unveiled at Emin Pasha Hotel, setting the stage for the Miss Tourism Uganda 2025 grand finale scheduled for September 5 at Kampala Serena Hotel.

By the time the gates opened at 7:00 pm, enthusiastic supporters had already gathered in long queues, eager to cheer for their regional representatives. The contestants made their runway debut with confidence, igniting an evening that blended elegance, fashion, and cultural pride.

This year’s edition runs under the theme “I Am My Culture,” a message that highlights the importance of cultural preservation, sustainable tourism, and youth involvement. Organizers emphasized that the pageant goes beyond beauty, serving as a powerful platform for advocacy and transformation in the social, economic, and environmental spheres.

“We are proud to host the 13th edition of Miss Tourism Uganda, and I can assure you that the grand finale will be bigger and better than ever,” said Loice Namara Kalamuka, Administrator of Miss Tourism Uganda. She further applauded the sponsors, parents, and partners for their support, and called on the public to cast votes for their favorite contestants.

For the first time, the unveiling also featured Man of Tourism International contestants, introducing a new chapter in the pageant’s journey and broadening opportunities for both young women and men to champion Uganda’s tourism and culture.

In the coming weeks, participants will embark on an intensive boot camp where they will receive training, mentorship, and take part in community-driven projects aimed at showcasing Uganda’s tourism potential before the highly anticipated finale.

Since its inception in 2013, Miss Tourism Uganda has grown into a leading national platform promoting domestic tourism. The initiative has earned awards for its contribution to the industry while grooming future leaders and cultural advocates.

With the inclusion of men this year, the pageant widens its scope. “We are creating space not only for the girl child but also for the boy child. Both can now serve as ambassadors of culture and tourism for Uganda,” Namara emphasized.

In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, and other stakeholders, Miss Tourism Uganda remains committed to nurturing talent, safeguarding cultural heritage, and advancing the growth of Uganda’s tourism industry.
