Frank Gashumba Makes U-Turn on Marriage

1 Mins read

Social commentator and businessman Frank Gashumba, known for his controversial remarks on relationships and marriage, was formally introduced to his partner’s family on Thursday, defying his own widely publicized stance against marriage.

In a viral video from last year, Gashumba emphatically stated that he would never get married, questioning the value of marriage and expressing concerns over the physical demands of intimacy.

“I cannot get married. What will a woman give me? When you marry, you spend the entire night awake… I don’t have that energy,” Gashumba said at the time, adding that a past relationship with a woman with a high sex drive left him constantly exhausted and fearing for his health.

However, on Thursday, Gashumba was introduced to the family of his partner, Patience Mutoni Malaika. Gashumba appeared in a traditional white Kinyarwanda outfit and was seen in high spirits, accompanied by close friends and supporters.

While Gashumba has not yet commented publicly on what led to the change of heart, the development has sparked widespread reaction online, with many Ugandans expressing surprise and amusement over his apparent U-turn.

This story continues to develop as the public awaits an official statement from Gashumba.
