The People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) has moved a step closer to formal political participation following a high-level Party Promoters’ Meeting held in Kampala today, which drew hundreds of delegates from across the country.
Presiding over the meeting, PFF President and Lord Mayor of Kampala, Erias Lukwago, announced that the party had fulfilled all legal requirements necessary for official registration. He noted that he had received confirmation from the Electoral Commission Chairperson, indicating the party’s compliance with the legal framework.
“The groundwork is complete. We are now ready to be recognized as a fully registered political entity,” Lukwago said.
The party leadership also revealed that preparations are underway for a formal launch, with plans to field candidates in the 2026 General Elections. The PFF has opened calls for expressions of interest in all available positions, emphasizing merit over popularity.
Lukwago urged party promoters and members to uphold the organization’s core values and resist external influence and corruption that could undermine the movement’s goals.
