EC Launches Online Tool to Help Voters Confirm or Select Polling Stations

1 Mins read

The Electoral Commission (EC) has launched an online platform to enable Ugandan citizens to confirm or select their designated polling stations ahead of upcoming elections.

Through the EC’s web portal — http://ec.or.ug/register — voters can search for their names in the national voters’ register and verify whether a polling station has been assigned to them.

According to the EC, if a voter’s name appears in the register without an associated polling station, they will be guided through a simple, step-by-step process to select one. The process includes choosing a district, constituency, subcounty, parish or ward, and finally, the preferred polling station.

Once the steps are completed, the voter’s record will be updated with the specified location, ensuring a smooth and organized voting experience.

The Commission encourages all eligible voters to use the online tool to avoid confusion on election day and to ensure they are properly assigned to a polling station.
