Muhoozi Stresses Importance of Leaving a Lasting Positive Impact Within UPDF.

During the Hand/Takeover ceremony at MODVA headquarters, Gen. Muhoozi emphasized the transient nature of roles within the military, urging troops to prioritize operational efficiency.

Acknowledging the outgoing officials, Gen. Muhoozi highlighted the significance of unity and continual improvement within the UPDF.

He commended the appointing authority for selecting capable individuals for leadership roles and encouraged the new appointees to make significant contributions in their new positions.

Outgoing D/CDF Lt. Gen. Peter Elwelu expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him during his tenure, vowing to continue serving in his new role as Special Presidential Advisor.

Incoming D/CDF Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding pledged to work collaboratively and emphasized the importance of unity in achieving success within the UPDF.

Outgoing CJS Maj. Gen. Leopold Kyanda reflected on the achievements during his tenure, emphasizing the need for further improvements to meet the UPDF’s constitutional mandate.

Incoming CJS Maj. Gen. Jack Bakasumba vowed to prioritize discipline and combat corruption in line with the UPDF’s values.

Both outgoing and incoming officials expressed appreciation for President Museveni’s support and guidance.
