Janet Adongo Nominated as NRM Candidate for Dokolo By-Election

Janet Adongo Rose Elau, the flag bearer of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), has been officially nominated as a candidate to compete in the by-election for the Dokolo District Woman MP seat.

The nomination process was overseen by Mr. Ngobi Stephen Erikwaine, the Returning Officer for Dokolo District, appointed by the Independent Electoral Commission.

The NRM director of Mobilisation, Hon. Rosemary Nansubuga Seninde, along with Mr. Samuel Eyenga, the Senior Manager of Mobilisation, and district leaders of the party, were present as witnesses to Mrs. Adongo’s nomination.

Following her nomination, Mrs. Adongo expressed her gratitude for being entrusted with the party’s flag in this by-election and confidently promised a resounding victory.

“I am honored to carry the NRM ticket and pledge to collaborate with the people of Dokolo to achieve socio-economic transformation for our community,” Adongo affirmed during a media briefing after the nomination process.

The voting for the by-election is scheduled to take place on the 21st of March, 2024.
