I am Under House Arrest — Bobi Wine

National Unity Platform president, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has revealed that security officials have surrounded his home and barred people from accessing his home.

“Our home is still surrounded by the police and military. They have blocked most of our people from entering to greet us. Earlier, they were firing teargas and live bullets to disperse them. I am effectively under house arrest. A criminal regime in panic,” said Bobi Wine on X.

It should be noted that Bobi Wine was picked off the runway upon his return from South Africa and taken to his home in Magere.

Bobi Wine supporters had planned a 1 million march from Entebbe to Magere upon the arrival of Bobi Wine.

Police also revealed that Bobi Wine is not under any for of arrest and is at his home safe and sound.

“We wish to inform the public that the NUP President, Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert was successfully escorted by our security team from Entebbe to his home in Magere.

He reached his home around 11.20am, and is with his family and friends. Disregard rumors of his arrest by propagandists.

Meanwhile, business activities and movements along Entebbe road, within Kampala and Gayaza, are flowing smoothly,” reads the Police tweet.
