The successes of Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye continue to grow by leaps and bounds.
On Friday, the ONC boss inscribed her name in Uganda’s wall of fame after she brought together a section of leaders from the warring Muslims factions in Kibuli and Old Kampala.
This was during an iftar dinner she hosted at the Office of the National Chairman headquarters in Kyambogo, a suburb in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.
They were joined by a section of the Muslim community drawn from both sects at a function where, Al Hajj Moses Kigongo, the NRM Vice Chairman was chief guest.
In her speech, Hajjat Hadijah called for unity among the Muslim community saying the holy month of Ramadan is one where they ought to mend fences.
Kigongo urged Muslims to involve themselves in government programs aimed at ending poverty.
